The Importance of Family Involvement
The Madison Day Care Center recognizes the importance of formal and informal family involvement in the Center. Informally, family members are encouraged to drop in to observe and participate, unannounced, at any time their child is enrolled in the center. Teachers and staff often interact with parents regarding issues concerning their child informally at the beginning and the end of the day. Telephone calls, and notes from teachers in parent mail boxes are often used to communicate information. |
Activities
Graduation and a covered dish supper as well as our family art workshops are some of the family activities enjoyed each year. Families participate in field trips, social events and child development workshops. Parent/Teacher Conferences Formal individual parent/teacher conferences are conducted where the results of written child observations are discussed twice each year. Parents are welcome to request additional conferences at any time. Information about the center or your child’s education and progress can always be arranged. |
